GALERI PETRONAS

Established on 12 August 1992 at Kompleks Dayabumi, GALERI PETRONAS was founded in line with PETRONAS’ commitment to promoting, developing and preserving Malaysian contemporary art.

In 1998, the gallery relocated to the PETRONAS Twin Towers, strengthening its role in nurturing public appreciation of the visual arts. As PETRONAS’ internal corporate gallery, GALERI PETRONAS oversees the PETRONAS Art Collection (PAC), curates exhibitions, and supports national cultural diplomacy across the region. Through strategic collaborations and meaningful engagements, the gallery continues to champion artistic excellence and cultural dialogue.

GALERI PETRONAS represents one of PETRONAS’ key contributions to the development of a holistic Malaysian society and nation building impact. It provides a platform for artistic expression and critical discourse, while positioning art as a universal language that transcends boundaries. Through its programmes and exhibitions, the gallery fosters greater understanding of diverse cultures, values and perspectives, both locally and internationally.

Reflecting the diversity of Malaysian and global artistic practices across past, present and future, GALERI PETRONAS now embarks on a bold new chapter at OMBAK KLCC—its permanent home designed to spark new ideas, engage wider audiences, and shape an even more vibrant future for the arts.
